Sunday evenings are a time for relaxation; to enjoy the dying embers of the weekend before the week ahead begins. At Bibendum Oyster Bar, Sunday evenings will now be accompanied by the smooth sounds of jazz – the perfect soundtrack to a platter of the freshly shucked bivalves…

From 5pm-8pm every Sunday, the restaurant will be hosting various local jazz bands, starting with last week’s appearance from Prohibition Sound, the Londoners bringing their contemporary take on 1920’s hits to the masses. This Sunday (16th December) will see another local favourite working the room.

The Bibendum Oyster Bar is based downstairs in the iconic Michelin building, where restaurant industry legend Claude Bosi has held tenure since 2017.

The more relaxed of the buildings two restaurants, the downstairs oyster bar offers a mouth-watering selection of seafood and shellfish-based dishes – from a seafood platter including all the favourites (oysters, langoustines, lobster…) to a classic plate of lobster linguine.

On Sunday nights, guests will also be offered a complimentary Rémy Martin Winter 1738 cocktail, a blend of the luxury cognac with festive flavours.

Although you’re advised to book, it’s worth popping in if you’re in the area regardless. We’ll be there, oyster in one hand, cocktail in the other. Classy.
