Since building his first motorcycle on his own aged 12, Paul Jayson has not stopped working with these glorious machines. To say he is obsessed is an understatement, as he has been needing to ride motorcycles since he first saw a BSA at traffic lights aged 3.
When he was at drama college in the Barbican in London, he fixed up motorcycles to pay his way through. When he was an actor doing fringe shows in London, he fixed up motorcycles to pay for his acting habit. His film work included doing stunt work for the BBC with stuntman Gary Powell on motorcycles.
From the mid 1980s, Paul was importing and exporting Harley-Davidsons in between fringe shows. He supplied new and used motorcycles all over the world throughout his life and even placed the first scooter in Jamie Oliver’s The Naked Chef.
Throughout his life Paul has had an absolute mania for classic motorcycles and has turned this mania into a study of hard data and the art of sourcing and restoring investment grade classic motorcycles.
He now runs The Motorcycle Broker in Devon; with its stunning restoration, it even won the Concours D’Elegance show at Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace in 2021 for Most Exceptional Motorcycle.
These people know which motorcycles will increase in value and which won’t. They source investment grade pieces for the absolute connoisseur who wants a tax free investment that will deliver profits and utter joy from ownership.
