Founded in 1824, but with its roots in the Cognac soil dating back to shortly after the arrival of Irishman James Delamain in 1751, Delamain has been crafting world-renowned cognacs for nearly 200 years and across nine generations, always with an eye to excellence.

Delamain crafts cognacs exclusively from the Grande Champagne region; cognac’s best terroir, renowned for the elegance and finesse of its eaux-de-vie.

Delamain produces only XO and above cognacs, some of which are sourced from the beautiful vineyards of Bellevigne, the 20 hectares of south-facing vines they cultivate, and ages its cognacs only in seasoned oak cask to limit the influence of the tannins and to allow the flavours of the vines and terroir to pass into the cognac.

The house of Delamain pursues an uncompromising approach to purity and craftsmanship from selection, through ageing to blending, it places an unwavering focus on excellence.

The prize

In 2020, Delamain launched a new blend to celebrate 100 years of its iconic Pale & Dry – the XO Centenaire. We're offering you the chance to win a bottle – as well as a leather apron to match.

The Cognac will get you feeling festive in no time with its fragrant floral and citrus notes of apricot, orange, and vanilla with a lingering almond and honey finish.

At a higher abv of 42%, Centenaire’s perfect balance between natural sweetness and alcoholic strength. The aromas and flavours of Pale & Dry are intensified, and its natural sweetness is brought to the fore.

Pale & Dry Centenaire remains elegant and dry, and its classic length is as rich and long as Delamain’s illustrious heritage.

Delamain Cognac has teamed up with Stalwart Crafts to make a beautiful hand-made leather apron that lasts a lifetime. It’s perfect for food preparations, BBQs, craft activities or cocktail making.

Both family-run brands are firm believers in the power of craftsmanship and quality, so naturally, the leather is selected from the finest source.
