To mark the return of House of the Dragon, Kyrö Distillery Company has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to launch Game of Thrones x Kyrö: Whiskies of Fire and Blood, a limited-edition duo inspired by House Targaryen and its friendly famioly motto: “Fire and Blood”.
The prize is a pair of bottles worth £149.95, comprising Kyrö Whisky of Fire and Kyrö Whisky of Blood – two distinct rye whisky expressions that take their cues from Westeros’s most combustible dynasty.
Kyrö Whisky of Fire is the bolder of the two: crafted from 100% smoked malted rye, matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in rum casks. Bottled at 46.6% ABV, it brings smoke, toasted rye, spiced apple jam, blackberry and a hint of menthol to the table. In other words, one for anyone who likes their whisky with a little dragon breath.
Kyrö Whisky of Blood is lighter and more nuanced, though no less characterful. Made from 100% malted rye and matured in ex-bourbon and French oak casks, it is bottled at 46.0% ABV and offers notes of bright cereals, apple, apricot, tonka bean, chestnut, beeswax, crème brûlée and toasted grains.
Both bottles come in collectible packaging inspired by cartography and symbolic motifs, combining the visual world of Game of Thrones with Kyrö’s distinctive Finnish design language.
