The Oxford Artisan Distillery is offering one person the chance to win a bottle of The Dissertation, its latest limited edition release of Oxford Rye Whisky.

The Dissertation has been created using two distinct casks with differing mash bills. The first, an American Oak Cask, has been filled with the distillery's traditional mash bill (70% rye, 20% wheat and 10% malted barley) bringing with it the classic Oxford Rye profile.

The Ramandolo cask, with a 100% rye mash bill, has enhanced the character of the rye and brought out the herbal and spicy notes.

Together these casks have produced a distinctive and delicious whisky; spicy and sweet with herbal and delicate floral flavours.

The Oxford Artisan Distillery is a trailblazer in the whisky world

The Oxford Artisan Distillery is a trailblazer in the whisky world, seeking to improve farming practices by making responsible farming the first stage in their distilling process.

Their base spirit is distilled from heritage grain using a technique known as Restorative Continuous Grain Cropping. These grains have been resurrected by the distillery’s Head of Farming and are grown in vibrant, genetically diverse, fields.

In strict accordance with regenerative farming practices, no pesticides or herbicides are used and the distillery’s farmers embrace ancient, gentler, methods of land management – such as using clover to suppress weeds and sequester carbon.

By working naturally with the land and soil, biodiversity is massively boosted, contributing to an abundance of wildflowers, insects and birds across all the distillery’s fields.

The Dissertation from The Oxford Artisan Distillery is £97.50 and available at theoxfordartisandistillery.com. For your chance to win one, just answer the simple question below.
