When the distillery was established in 1897, the isolated and idyllic setting was almost perfect. However, the local inhabitants were scattered shepherds and cattle drovers, and so began a project to hire a workforce and build homes on the site to accommodate them.
This legacy has continued and Tomatin is one of the few distilleries to provide a home for its craftspeople to this day.
Matured in Bourbon barrels and Virgin Oak casks, this exceptional dram honours the essence of its birthplace – full of character and endlessly inviting. A dram that invites you to pause, reflect, and, most importantly, embark on your own journey.

Fernweh was launched in 2014 by Laura Sherriffs. With a Fashion Design degree from Gray’s School of Art and an enthusiasm for the great outdoors, she decided to bring her two passions together to create a series of stylish handmade chalk bags, which are traditionally used in climbing.
