Each year the iconic Mayfair hotel invites a leading fashion brand to design its Christmas tree, which sits proudly in its art deco lobby. This year it's the turn of Burberry, under Christopher Bailey's direction.
Last night the tree was finally unveiled: a towering, majestic mass fashioned from giant mirrored, gold and silver interlocking umbrellas.
Stars rolled out to admire the tree, including designer Christoper Bailey, Downtown Abbey star Lily James and her boyfriend Matt Smith, models Erin O'Connor and David Gandy, artist Tracey Emin and musician Ronan Keating.
