It’s run in conjunction with the museum’s Designs of Year awards, whose previous winners include the 2012 Olympic torch creator Edward Barber.
The Design Museum has announced its nominations for the awards this year - and it's an eclectic bunch to say the least. Designs range from life-saving toilets to grow it yourself lampshades.
An overall winner will then be selected from a panel of judges, which is made up of artist Anish Kapoor, fashion designer Nicole Farhi, architect Farshid Moussavi and PearsonLloyd co-founder Tom Lloyd.
