Hove-based landscape painter, Dion Salvador Lloyd is a man of unconventional methods. He has been known to surround himself with bleached animal skulls as a constant stream of music plays in an attempt to find the state of mind and the creative space within which his painting can flow.

Inspired by nature and sadness, his pieces are often spontaneous manifestations of his mood. They have drama, depth and a sense of the sublime.

To see his new work in the flesh, his 'First Light of Day’ private view is being held on Saturday, 16 September between 12-4pm and the show runs until the 27th September at the Northcote Gallery in Battersea.
