Things weren't always so easy for restaurant owners Beth Cullen and her husband Tom Kerridge. Now the proud owners of Michelin-starred pub, the Hand and Flowers, the duo struggled to find financing to get the project off the ground. Sculptor Cullen's new exhibition takes a playful dig at the City execs and moneyman that refused to give the pair an initial helping hand up by lending them cash.

Cullen's new exhibition Supersuits features a series of sculptures in bronze and marble that mock the suits that ignored them, while making a comment on today's financial, economic and political climate – and the nature of power. Standouts from the exhibition include an empty suit hanging on a crucifix, and a shark fin growing from the back of another.

We have a feeling those money men might be experiencing a sudden change of heart…

Supersuits is at Gallery Different from 28-31 October. For more info, visit gallerydifferent.co.uk
