In 2011, photographer Kate Bellm, from London, met Edgar Lopez Arrelano, from Guadalajara, while on a residency in Tulum, Mexico. Still with us? Good. Their meeting became the start of a four-year-long collaboration, which saw the pair travelling to Japan, Utah, New Zealand, Mallorca, and India on an artistic, and frankly envy-inducing, journey.
The result is The Way We Live, a photography exhibition at Mayfair gallery Lamb Arts, which documents, and pays tribute to, the duo's time on the road together.
While Bellm's work explores the characters and the locations of her journeys across the globe, Arrelano's site-specific work and painted murals are heavily influenced by nature and vibrant landscapes.
What unites both works is their captivating nature and sense of nostalgia for people and places. We're getting itchy feet just gawping at the pics...
The Way We Live is at Lamb Arts from 14 May-25 June.
