Event Details
Forget Ronnie Scott's – if you want a healthy dose of jazz this summer, get your toe-tapping, finger-clicking self down to the Royal Exchange. From 6-10 July, The City venue will play host to an array of sophisticated jazz performances from a variety of talented, up-and-coming jazz singers.
As part of the City of London Festival, visitors to the historic Royal Exchange will be treated to free performances, featuring a variety of repertoires from a handpicked selection of jazz singers, including Jonathan Carr, Emily Dankworth and Jess Radcliffe.
Settle down to a two or three-course dinner at Sauterelle in The Royal Exchange's mezzanine and let the music serenade you as you munch, or, if you're feeling brave, swig on a cocktail in The Grand Café in the Central Courtyard and get your Sinatra moves out to the sounds of soulful crooning. Ignore anyone gawping at your moonwalk – they're just jealous, obviously.
Jazz at the Royal Exchange takes place from 6-10 July as part of the City of London Festival. For more info, visit theroyalexchange.co.uk and colf.org
