Event Details
If you don't know the different between whisky and whiskey, listen up: you need to wise up. Luckily, though, we've got the perfect event for you. The Jim Beam Crafthouse, on 24 April, is on hand for a bit of further education. The event will celebrate the Beam Suntory family of craft and small-batch bourbons, and give you the opportunity to try the 'bourbon legends': Knob Creek, Jim Beam Signature Craft, Basil Hayden’s, Booker's, Baker's and Maker's Mark.
Guests will be treated to immersive, hour-long tours – which start half-hourly from 6pm – where they'll get to experience the following:
The Maker's Mark Kentucky Kitchen
The Thoughtful Bread Company brings flavours of the South to London, as you discover how Maker's came to be paired with the artisanal baker.
The Jim Beam Signature Craft Cooperage
Got wood? You will – this part of the tour shows how the importance of wooden barrels in the aging process.
Knob Creek Newsroom
If we're honest, we're not sure how much news would get read in a room full of whiskey – but this event will transport guests back to the Prohibition era and the golden age of the cocktail.
Small Batch Bourbon Warehouse
If you're a small-batch fan, there's nowhere better to catch all of Beam Suntory's craft varieties in one place.
Kentucky Bar
The last (and probably longest) stop on the tour is an old-fashioned (mind the pun) Kentucky bar, serving up classic Kentucky bourbon cocktails.
