As more and more films are using drones to shoot incredible aerial shots for film (remember the opening scene in Skyfall?) the style of cinematography is getting its own film contest and festival.
EpicTV and DJI have teamed up to present the Rise of the Drones Film Festival 2015, one of the first drone film festivals in adventure sports. Filmmakers took to the skies to achieve never-before-seen views of everything from skiing and climbing to surfing and all the sports in between.
The festival concludes with a screening, where guests can watch some of the films, find out who the winner is, and get some ideas for their own drone-flying antics and aspirations…
