Event Details
Knock knock. Let's save the next bit; it's us and we're here not to finish a bad joke but to tell you about an event dedicated to professionals who get paid to make good ones.
And all in aid of raising money for Mind, one of the UK's leading mental health charities.
Returning for its second year, Five Points Brewery's Stand Up to Mental Health evening will take place in Hackney's Pembury Tavern, and feature the likes of Sean McLoughlin (Stand-Up Central, After Life), Adam Hess (Live At The Palladium), Heidi Reagan (The Now Show) and Sunil Patel (Borderline), and all profits from the evening will be donated to, you guessed it, Mind.
Last year, the Five Points team raised over £4,500 for Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, and this year they're keen to raise even more as the statistics around mental ill health continue to climb in and around the UK.
In the month of Blue Monday and all-round blue-ness (ie pitch-black surroundings before work is finished), the guys and girls over at Five Points are hoping to make this a really enjoyable evening, which does the trick of making you laugh while, crucially, making you stop and think.
Included with every ticket, guests get a pint of Five Points beer, wine or soft drink alternative on the bar. A raffle will also be taking place on the night, with all proceeds going to the charity.
Go on then. Who's there? Scold. Scold who? Scold outside, let me in! Thank you and goodnight.
Entry is £12. For more, see eventbrite.co.uk
