View map Add to calendarIf you've ever been faced with the dilemma of having to decide between Mexican or Italian cuisine, this culinary experience is for you.
The 'TWO x TWO' series, which celebrates the expertise and distinctive culinary heritage of two esteemed chefs, will bring Andrea Zagatti, formerly of Mugaritz and Osteria Francescana, and Santiago Lastra Rodriguez of Noma Mexico, together to host an exclusive and intimate dinner at KitchenAid London Experience Store.
Kicking off the first instalment of the series on 4 October, they will showcase their individual styles whilst paying homage to their respective home countries through the bespoke menus they have designed for the occasion.
If you choose to pop along you can expect to be treated to canapés including Cantaloupe Gazpacho, Red Prawn from Mazzara, Crispy Pantelleria Capers and Carnitas Bun, as well as traditional Mexican Confit Pig’s Head and Roasted Parsnips with Watercress. Drinks brand Peter Spanton will also keep guests suitably watered with a wide range of cocktails.
The event will be curated by Jon Spiteri for RSVP and will also showcase global emerging talent such as Fay Maschler who will partner with Lisa Markwell, and The Globe’s Allan Pickett who will join forces with his front of house guru Benoit Massonneau.
But if you fancy tasting something special sourced from British shores, the same chefs will create a five-course menu for just 16 guests around the Chef’s Table on 5 October. This menu will include ingredients such as British smoked eel, Foie gras, Langoustine and Oxtail. The dessert will also take on a savoury twist as the Tiramisu will be made from porcini mushrooms.
Why choose one country's cuisine when you can have the Med and Mexico's best chefs serve you both?
