If you haven't heard about the Apple Watch, then welcome to 2015. How was that coma? The one you want is the Watch Edition – its comes in 18ct yellow or rose gold. It's clever, too: iPhone wearers can call, text and email through it. The digital watch also acts like a credit card when you wave it over contactless card machines. It might make you look a bit mental in the queue at Costa, but at least you'll get your flat white in record time.

Once the toy of the super geek, these days a flying, pic-snapping drone is on every man's want list. The DJI Inspire 1 Quadcopter T600 will take some impressive aerial shots of you and your mates from angles that a selfie stick could never reach. Its 4K camera is mounted on a 3-axis stabilised gimbal for some seriously pro-looking 360 degree footage. It's up to you to make sure it doesn't end up landing in a bush, though.
