Tour de France-inspired cycling kit
The Tour de France is in full swing, so here's the best cycling gear to help you channel your inner Froome. On yer bike, mate

The bike: Pinarello Dogma F8
Built with the sole purpose of helping Chris Froome of Team Sky to zoom down the Champs-Elysées wearing his second yellow jersey this year, the new Pinarello Dogma F8 is one seriously clever bike. It has been designed by Pinarello and Jaguar to be one up to 47% more aerodynamic and considerably lighter than a conventional road machine, and is the result of tireless testing – 800 computer models were created before the first real-life prototype was even built. So you’ll be able to get down the pub in record time… Exclusive to The Bike Rooms’ Regent Street store.

The shades: Windmax
Sinister name aside, the Jawbreaker is your new best buddy for big miles when the sun’s out – especially if your name’s Mark Cavendish. The Manx sprinter is currently wearing Oakley’s latest high-tech specs on some bike ride around France or other, as are plenty of his mates in the peloton. The Prizm Jawbreaker uses the brand’s trick lens-changing system, so you’ll actually be able to see where you’re going in blinding sunlight. Which won’t be a problem in Surrey, obviously.

The helmet: Windmax
Are you the keeno with six race bikes, two fixies AND a mountain bike? Stop it, you’re making us look bad. The Windmax is the helmet for you, though: it comes with interchangeable peaks, so it’s ideal for both on- and off-road riding. For the road, the Windmax is fitted with an ultra-light, aerodynamic visor for those all-important marginal gains. If you’re determined to sweat (and mud) it out on your mountain bike, the helmet’s huge vents will scoop up the air and direct it over your head to keep you cool. They won’t stop you blubbing about your sore thighs, though – sorry.
