The best places to watch Wimbledon 2018

Make sure you pick up an ice cream from the pop-up van on the ground floor first, then go chill on the terrace and make 'ooh' 'aah' noises (not with your mouth full, please) as the match gets into full swing.

Can't be bothered to queue all day for Henman Hill? We say sneak out on your lunch break to cheer on the champs from the City's Broadgate Circle. Its big screen will be showing summer's big sporting events – including Wimbledon – as part of Summer Live season, and its surrounding restaurants and cafés will be embracing Wimbledon fever with outdoor barbecues and themed menus. Tennis ball-shaped muffin, anyone? 

One Canada Square's Plateau at Canary Wharf will be screening the championships in its Bar & Grill Herbal Garden Terrace, so you can enjoy a tipple as you bask in the sunshine (hmm) and watch the game. Toast Murray's win or commiserate his loss while swigging on a specially-created 'Murray's gin fizz'; a sugar-rush inducing blend of fresh English strawberries, gin, egg white, double cream and lemon juice.

Watch Wimbledon on a floating pontoon at the St Kat's big screen. Its USP? Beside the fact that you’ll get to watch all the centre court action form one of the city’s most picturesque marinas, you’re encouraged to bring your own food and soft drink. That leaves more dollar to be spent on Pimm’s. Ideal.
