There's a solid theory that you can judge a person by their watch and their shoes.
While we can't speak on Michael Evans Behling's horological collection, his footwear is certainly on point.
"I genuinely feel like shoes can bring a whole outfit together," the All American actor tells Square Mile. "On some occasions, I will build an outfit around the shoe first."
Preach, Michael. Preach.
What upcoming project(s) are you most excited about?
All American Season three is still airing on The CW, which is fantastic.
I’m very excited for my HBO Max film A Cinderella Story: Starstruck, the sixth instalment with Baliee Madison. The movie is being released this summer.
It was a fun comedy love story that allowed me to express a different side other than Jordan Baker.
What is your proudest professional accomplishment
I would have to say that my proudest accomplishment is All American.” I moved to Los Angeles, as green as they come, and my 11th audition was for the role of Jordan Baker.
That audition process is an experience I will never forget. The phone call I received, telling me I had earned the role and the journey I’d taken since leaving school in 2016.
If you could change one thing about your career, what would it be?
The only thing I would change would be more experience which I hope to achieve as time goes on.
I feel like creating your own project is even more fulfilling than bringing a character to life.
What do you hope to achieve that you haven’t yet?
I hope to create my own project. Whether that be a series, or a film. I feel like creating your own project is even more fulfilling than bringing a character to life.
Outside of your family, who is / was your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration has to be Heath Ledger. His role as the ‘Joker’ in The Dark Knight truly opened my eyes and has stuck with me since.
My home is encompassed by art inspired by him and the characters he brought to life.
Tell us something nobody know about you…
I am not the biggest fan of beaches! This is primarily due to the mess sand can create.
What or who brings you joy?
It’s truly the simple things. Hanging with my friends and the people I love in my circle brings me an amount of joy that cannot be challenged.
What’s your favourite item of clothing – and what does it mean to you?
I cannot pinpoint a single favourite item, but my shoe collection is by far my favourite. I am a large sneakerhead and do my best to keep my shoes stylish and clean.
They mean a decent amount because I genuinely feel like shoes can bring a whole outfit together. On some occasions, I will build an outfit around the shoe first.
Favourite accessory – watch / jewellery / etc – and why is it special to you?
My black & Gold David Yurman ring. I love the aesthetic of the ring, and it’s subtle but makes a statement.
What items do you take on holiday and why?
Sadly, my computer. Any vacation I’ve taken I can’t help but to have my computer to check on work things.

Is there an item you threw away – or lost – that you really miss?
I used to have a simple, fun, comfy pair of workout shoes that I lost at a gym. I haven’t been able to find the style of shoe since losing them.
What’s next on your shopping list?
A high-tech nightstand. This nightstand has a mini fridge, charging abilities, and speakers built in. I need to have it!
What would you buy if money was no object?
If money was no object it would allow my family and friends even more financial freedom than they already have.
Therefore, if money was no object for me, I would spread the wealth even more and make sure everyone was safe and secure.
