Sleeping with Sherlock

Calm down ladies, this event doesn't involve sharing a bed with Cumberbatch. Instead, you're invited to explore the museum's current Sherlock Holmes exhibition after hours. There'll also be a three-course meal, storytelling, a movie marathon and a cash bar – culminating in a giant adult sleepover.

Broadgate's Valentine's Ice Rink

Valentine’s Day is nearly here. Yes, we know, already. If you’re struggling for date inspiration, look no further. A romantic evening of ice skating in the heart of the City is sure to (ahem) melt her heart. See what we did there?

From 13 to 15 February, Broadgate’s picturesque rink will be catching the love bug. The rink will be decorated with hearts, giant letters that spell LOVE, and even some romantic city backgrounds. Plus anyone who skates over the Valentine’s Day weekend will automatically be entered into a competition to win £500 of vouchers to spend on a romantic trip for two.

Food lovers can then head over to The Tasting Room (lose the skis, first) to try their Valentine’s Day platter. Dishes include St Louis Pork Ribs, spicy chipotle wings and pulled pork sliders, followed by warm chocolate brownie served with fresh strawberries and cream and bubbles, for £50.00.

Hugh Arnold – Agua Nacida

Underwater photography has been taken to sensual new depths by internationally acclaimed photographer Hugh Arnold, in his first UK exhibition Agua Nacida.

His beautifully ethereal nudes capture the graceful weightlessness of floating in the deep blue. The images, which were shot in Fiji and Gozo, are meant to celebrate a woman’s life cycle, from the womb to adulthood. Arnold calls life under the sea “a fairytale world”, in which “the colours, the light, even our breath, which we can’t see above water, add wonderful dimensions.”

Well, we tried the same with an iPhone wrapped in cling film and, yeah, it didn’t go so well.
