Expertly crafted by master blender Surrinder Kumar, Indri Trini, meaning ‘three wood’, is India’s first triple-cask matured single malt whisky.
The spirit is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, French wine and Pedro Ximénez sherry oak casks, resulting in exceptional balance and layered complexity rarely seen in Indian whisky-making.
Indri Trini offers gentle, inviting aromas with notes of fruit, honeyed sweetness and soft oak and flavours of subtle spice and well-balanced wood influences.
The finish is long and rounded, with lingering sweetness and a comforting warmth.
The spirit of the Himalayas
Born in the foothills of the Himalayas, Indri takes its name from the tranquil village of Indri in Haryana, northern India, where the distillery was commissioned in 2010.
Nestled near the catchment of the River Yamuna, the location provides a water source and a distinctive micro-climate defined by hot summers and cool winters. This natural environment plays a critical role in maturation, differentiating Indri from older distilleries in India’s more tropical south.
