"In the wee small hours of the morning...
That's the time you miss her most of all..."
Frank Sinatra knew: there ain't no drinking like late night drinking.
These are the best London bars for an after-hours tipple or two.
Have one for your baby, and one more for the road...

Happiness Forgets
A global award-winning cocktail bar in Hoxton, Happiness Forgets prides itself on offering ‘high-end cocktails in a low-rent basement’. Walking in to Happiness Forgets is like walking into the best house party possible, but with the best drinks possible. A great place to meet friends for a few drinks after work. Try: The Perfect Storm, a modern classic made by proprietor Ali Burgess! Happiness Forgets

Three Sheets
A trendy hotspot that’s currently hitting the cocktail scene is Three Sheets. Situated in East London’s Dalston, both the cocktails and décor are spartan and stripped back, in the best way possible. This is the ideal spot to pop in to after a long day, or on a walk home after the cinema. Prop up the bar and try an Emiko. Three Sheets

The Punch Room at The Edition
After enjoying a great a night with friends, I always like to finish at The Punch Room at The Edition. It specializes – unsurprisingly – in punch which are shared from classic punch bowls. It’s a warm, cozy room that nonetheless has all the modern elegance that you would expect at The Edition. Sit around and share a milk punch – may sound slightly strange but is delicious! Punch Room

The NED
Enriched with history, The Ned is an incredible venue situated in the heart of the city. When you are looking for a fancy night out, this is a great option. A great place to go when you feel like getting dressed up, grab a seat on the ground floor where you can sip cocktails and listen to the nightly live jazz. An all-round hotspot to enjoy great food, sample great cocktails and party the night away. My favourite cocktail there at the moment is the Santa Teresa 1796 Swizzle. The NED

COYA Mayfair
COYA is an incredible restaurant, member’s club and bar that combines Peruvian cuisine with fantastic drinks and lively music to make every night a stylish party. Definitely the place to celebrate with friends, especially at their weekly COYA RITUAL party on Thursday nights with live DJs. Go to the RITUAL party and try the ‘Kahu'. COYA Mayfair

Trailer Happiness
Trailer Happiness is London’s most iconic rum bar and recently celebrated their 10th birthday on Portobello Road. They have been defining all things rum and fun, and it is always a party. They have everyone from locals to celebrities over the past ten years and is definitely the place to go on a weekend to relax! Try one of Proprietor Sly Augustin’s favourites: an El Presidente. Satan’s Whiskers
Another gem close by in Bethnal Green is the Satan’s Whiskers. Specializing in perfectly-executed cocktails in the classic tradition, it’s all set to a soundtrack of modern and classic hip-hop and grime. If you’re looking for a packed and fun evening, I recommend going on a weekend night when the music gets louder, and the energy is great. Whilst you’re there, ask for a Santa Teresa 1796 Right Hand; a twist on the classic Negroni.

Fare Bar
If you’re looking for a stylish and sophisticated end to your evening, look no further than the newest venture from Sager + Wilde. Marcis Dzelzainis newest edition in Clerkenwell is the perfect spot to for a mid-week post-date with your significant other. Their latest cocktail menu screams complexity in its simplest form, so why not try one of my favorites, a Santa Teresa1796 and Marcis’ sandalwood soda. Fare Bar
