There are more expensive yachts – and certainly larger ones – but few of them are as desirable as a Riva.
The Italian boatmaker’s brand-new Riva 56’ is the latest open yacht to join its fleet alongside the likes of the iconic Aquariva. From the high-gloss mahogany interior, to the natural teak deck accents, it’s dressed in swathes of lacquered finishes. These classic elements are complemented by a very contemporary paint job – the Shark Grey provides an ultra-modern metallic lustre. And the seamless windshield is not only aerodynamic, but unmistakably Riva.
Inside, there’s room for two guest cabins and three bathrooms including an ensuite for the master bedroom. There’s also a dinettte, galley, and crew cabin with separate access.
Unsurprisingly, it’s no slouch: the top-of-the-range version comes with twin 1,200hp Man engines. But if sunbathing is more your bag, there’s plenty of space for that, too – including a large sun-deck in the stern. And for cooling off in the sea, steps in the rear continue underwater to make your entrance almost as elegant as the boat itself is.
