French for “beautiful mountain,” Belle Montagne is a nod to the stunning Franschhoek Mountains and the Hottentots Holland range that the brand calls home.
It is the result of a shared vision between Nick Holland, who spent much of his career in mining, and his wife Roslyn, whose innate sense of sophistication and love for fine wine helped shape the brand’s direction.
Multi-award-winning and internationally acclaimed winemaker Coenie Snyman works alongside the Hollands, overseeing the creation of the wines. For Nick Holland, gold has long represented rarity, beauty, and lasting value – qualities he now pursues through wine.
Global recognition
That pursuit is already gaining international attention. Earlier this year, a bottle of Belle Montagne was presented to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.
Belle Montagne was officially launched at the Michelin-starred Hide Restaurant in Mayfair, London, where a select group of collectors, sommeliers, and global tastemakers gathered for an intimate dinner.
“This was the culmination of countless hours of dedication by those who had worked to create a truly unique wine experience,” says Spencer Fondamiere, President of the South African Sommeliers Association and Belle Montagne’s Brand Director.

Wines crafted with intent
Crafted from premium parcels of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz, the Belle Montagne Collection is compact by design, made in small volumes and intended to develop over time.
The first Chardonnay under the Belle Montagne label will be released to members in August. It is a classic example of Chardonnay, with expressive lime notes woven into ripe peach aromas and hints of fresh vanilla.
From tasting notes to packaging, every detail is considered. Each hand-numbered bottle is adorned with a gold crest and secured with a signature leather strap – a mark of character and craftsmanship.
The signature collection of wines is nestled in bespoke cases made from luxurious Italian textured Fedrigoni paper, featuring a plush velvet-lined interior and finished with the distinctive Belle Montagne emblem, creating a collector’s masterpiece.
