You didn’t set out to become a fitness expert – why do you think your Instagram posts became so popular?

I think the key is being relatable. My #Seltering poses were just me being my quirky, fun self. I think we all have a quirky side we don’t always show and my photos help remind people to be who they are and have fun with it! I had a life changing experience thanks to exercise and health and wellness; it helped me feel comfortable with who I am and what I stand for. I believe in being who you are and not caring what others think. At the end of the day, your relationship with yourself is most important, and I try to convey that in my photos.

At what point did you realise you could make a living off Instagram?

The first time a brand reached out to me and offered me compensation to take a photo with their product was eye-opening. We live in a world that is so visually and digitally driven, and it opened up the door for so many people to start their own brands and companies. With more and more new, unique, artisan brands and products, it gives me the opportunity to meet new people, build relationships and develop strategic partnerships. I only work with brands I can fully support and who I fully believe in.

What makes a good Instagram photo?

Good Instagram photos need to be relatable and a reflection of who you are. It’s all about not being afraid to show your true self. After, make the most of your surroundings! Be unique, travel, see the world and take a photo no one else has taken! Lastly, good lighting is essential! Lighting can break or make a photo – my favourite lighting is natural lighting.

Who would you say has the best bum in the world?

I really admire J.Lo’s body: she’s the booty queen, and I hope to look like her when I’m her age.

Who are your favourite Instagrammers?

There are so many favourite Instagram pages that I love looking at and follow. One of them that I absolutely love looking at is BlackJaguarWhiteTiger because of my love for animals.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen on Instagram?

I think that there are some awesome accounts with very funny content. I’m a huge fan of beige cardigan and and fuckjerry. They always make me laugh.

Do you have any upcoming plans to work with any sportswear or lingerie brands?

I’m really excited to announce that I’ll be launching my own fitness wear line this spring! I’m focusing on building my brand and sharing it with the world. The priority is going to be colourful, affordable and comfortable gym wear. More details coming soon!

Who were / are your fitness inspirations?

Michelle Lewin.

What’s the best piece of advice anyone’s ever given you?

The only person I compare myself to is myself, and it’s the best advice I’ve ever received and the best advice I can ever give. I think this is advice worth sharing because someone is always going to have something negative to say, or not going to like you. There will always be haters. It took me a long time to realise, accept and understand that you can’t please everyone. One of my favourite quotes is “Make peace with the mirror and watch your reflection change,” because at the end of the day, all that matters is that you’re proud of who you are and comfortable in your own skin.

Any plans to go into acting?

Not planning on it, but you never know what the future may hold.

What are your goals for the future?

I’m very excited about my activewear line coming out soon! I’ve always wanted to launch my own fashion line, especially since I love – and work with – so many brands. It’s going to be nice to have one of my own. I’m really excited for everyone to see it. In the meantime, I plan to keep connecting with people and inspiring them to make healthy choices and positive life improvements. Part two of my Fitness App is also launching soon, so I’m looking forward to helping people achieve their fitness goals!
