Ede & Ravenscroft has gone back to its archive to unearth some classic designs for this season. The Chancery, a double-breasted tailored-fit coat, cuts a commanding silhouette (for when you’re making music videos). It’s carefully fashioned from top-quality Scottish cashmere and styled with a classic Prince of Wales check. Add to that a half-back belt and a deep amethyst quilted lining, and not only will you easily shun the cold, but you’ll also look pretty sharp while you’re at it.
The collection has been created by Michael McGrath, who was previously head of design at Burberry for eight years. There are no beiges here, though – instead, it’s all time-honoured stone greys, influenced by the exteriors of London’s historic buildings. Which also helps if you need to hide from your boss up against a wall in the car park.
