In my dreams
I’d fly to Naples and have a suit made for me from scratch by Isaia. I would wear it only one time to photograph myself in it, and then frame it in a giant shadow box frame and hang it on my wall as a work of art.
On my travels
Polo shirts and thin sweaters. I can roll through dressier situations without having to necessarily go down the jacket and collared shirt route. Polos and sweaters travel better and are much more comfortable.
On my wrist
I rock a Citizen Eco-drive watch. It’s solar powered even by artificial indoor light, and it’s sleek enough to wear for dressy situations but can also be worn casually.
In my hand
I have a small space pen that I love. It’s oval/cylindrical with a cap so it will never poke your pocket and it’s made for use in zero gravity so it’ll write under any conditions.
In my sights
I need to cop a new gold watch. I’ve been on a silver and platinum jag for so long but now I need options. I think I definitely want to go vintage, off the beaten track.
In my wardrobe
Banana Republic just came with a line of denim shirts called Heritage. They’re very affordable but very fly and fitted to give you a good silhouette. You can wear them to the club but they also look like you could change your car’s oil wearing them.
On my radar
I’ve seen a few things from Sebastiaan Pieter Groenen’s Pieter label. They’re athletically stylish and almost feel inspired by uniforms but comfortable. For a long time, clothes were designed to allow men to hide how much they’ve let themselves go. Pieter makes you take basic care of yourself and advertise it. In my past I tend not to throw stuff away (my mother is honestly a stone’s throw from being a full-blown hoarder) but I will say I just pulled out a ribbed turtleneck a couple months ago as a joke. It didn’t look bad, actually.
On my London
I surprised my wife with a trip to Wimbledon for the finals this year. I know the dress code has relaxed a bit but part of me still enjoys dressing up for things like this.
On my bucket list
Right now I’m starting to envision seeing some of the ancient wonders around the world. We hit Stonehenge this summer – and we may visit the Tulum pyramids in the fall, which isn’t a bad start, at least.
