I like to keep things simple and think Junghans from Germany make a beautiful and easy-to-wear collection of watches. I particularly like the brand’s Max Bill Chronoscopes.

I resisted for a very long time and held on to my Blackberry, but about a year ago I gave in and got myself my first iPhone. I went for an iPhone 5 instead of an iPhone 6 as it’s much easier to manoeuvre with just one hand. Good for when you’re out and about and are carrying a bag in your other hand. As much as I try not to, it’s with me all the time.

We’ve got some really nice suits from our own label coming in for autumn winter, so I’m very much looking forward to getting one of those. It’s the first season we will make our own suits, so it’s a bit of a milestone for Trunk Clothiers.

As the owner of a menswear shop I’ve got quite a lot to choose from, but some of my long-time favourites are a white shirt from Salvatore Piccolo, a navy jacket from Boglioli, a grey crew neck from Zanone, a pair of beige Incotex chinos and a pair of shoes from Alden. Plus a tie from Drake’s if I need to be formal.

I think Antonio Ciongoli from New York is doing a particularly good job with his brand Eidos Napoli, all made by Italian tailoring label Isaia. He has a great eye, so I always look forward to his new collection, and his choice of fabrics always stand out from the rest.

A navy jacket, white shirt and a pair of chinos are always in the bag in order to be prepared for dinners or meetings. My running shoes are most definitely also in there – a great way to discover a new place is to just put your runners on and then hit the streets exploring. Best not to use a map and just pay attention to which direction people seem to be heading in.

London is a great place with new things popping up around you all the time. In Marylebone, where I live and have my two shops, there’s a restaurant called Carousel that I’ve had my eyes on for some time now, but for some reason have yet to make it to.

I’ve always wanted to have my own hotel, so besides travels to lots of different places this is something I look forward to doing at some point. I want to create a space in a place with breathtaking views where people can come for a digital detox, to relax, breathe fresh air, eat healthy food and do lots of physical activity.
