Life
What upcoming project(s) are you most excited about?
Now that will be telling! I have some very exciting projects that I’ve just finished, and currently working on now. As always, my content has an element of surprise, and in some cases, a bit of continuity with certain brands. You’ll have to wait and see!
What is your proudest professional accomplishment?
I think my proudest moments had to be the early days in my career. I really jumped in to explore my style and grounding with my reach – and luckily I had a great reception. Being a part of Forbes 30 under 30 was a main highlight, it just felt like the recognition that I needed, but is necessary for those like myself.
If you could change one thing about your career, what would it be?
I wouldn’t change a thing, from the positives, the negatives and the missed opportunities; I have learnt so much in this process and it's made me become a better person.
What do you hope to achieve that you haven’t yet?
I would love to do more presenting. Especially in fashion, I move around different circles, so I feel that I can get other content creators to get comfortable to talk about what they’re wearing and how they’re feeling.
Outside of your family, who is / was your biggest inspiration?
I would say my biggest inspiration comes from my environment and travels. Learning about different cultures, meeting unique individuals and being part of the creative industry and evolving as an artist has been most inspiring and fulfilling for me.
Tell us something nobody knows about you…
I studied drama and performed in West End theatre throughout my early and late teens – eventually, I had to give it up due to academic commitments but it was a memorable experience and creatively stimulating.
Style
What’s your favourite item of clothing – and what does it mean to you?
Flared jeans! I’ve said this so many times, but I love a flared pair of jeans because they suit the shape of my legs, they work with everything I wear and so comfortable!
Favourite accessory – watch / jewellery / etc – and why is it special to you?
All the jewellery I wear has a special place in my heart, capturing a memory, representing my personality and heritage. I wouldn’t be able to pick one specifically, but as a collection, it paints a bigger picture.
What's your biggest style disaster?
Gosh… I’ve had a few wardrobe malfunctions, once I had to lay down to be zipped into a look!
Is there an item you threw away – or lost – that you really miss?
Actually no, I archive all of my pieces, they may come in handy in the future, and some pieces represent a memory.
What’s next on your shopping list?
I would love a denim piece from Mugler, I love the silhouettes and it’s great to see some men’s pieces.
What would you buy if money was no object?
An Hermès Birkin 40 to travel with. I don’t need much, but I do have a soft spot for a large tote!
