In short, it's a bag of contradictions – none more so than when British accessory brand Rampley & Co gets involved.
The brand's Fine Art collection emphasises the point: it faithfully reproduces work from J.M.W. Turner, John Singleton Copley and John Martin on its silk squares, which, when folded, reduce it to a splash of colour and conceal the art beneath. It's the anti-show-off – an accessory for a wearer who's comfortable knowing that quality doesn't have to be on show; it's enough just to know it's there.
