Ombria – the Algarve's newest five-star resort

Ombria Resort is a luxury sustainable development located in the heart of the Algarve, Portugal, due to open in Spring 2023. It will feature a five-star hotel managed by Viceroy Hotels & Resorts, an 18-hole signature golf course and several different types of homes for sale.

The project is developed by Pontos Group, a family-owned Finnish investment company. Pontos is a mid to long term multidisciplinary investor specialised in real estate, currently with a net asset value of over €300m.

Ombria is close to the historical town of Loulé, Faro international airport and fantastic beaches. It has one of the lowest building density and highest construction quality standards of any similar developments in Europe (energy certificate A or A+).

The resort has several investment options available to cater for investors looking for a property to live, holiday or retire in. Ombria Resort is scheduled for a phased completion.

The first phase (2019-2022) includes most infrastructures (roads, utilities’ networks, etc) as well as the golf course and its clubhouse, the Viceroy at Ombria Resort hotel, 65 Viceroy Residences, 12 residential villas (Alcedo Villas) and 83 touristic real estate units (apartments, townhouses, semi-detached and detached villas).

Ombria offers a variety of residential and touristic real estate units for sale. Some of these options offer guaranteed rental returns, including the Viceroy Residences. These are one and two-bedroom apartments, part of and located within the hotel. Ranging in size from 70 to 173 sq.m of gross internal area, or 90 to 356 sq.m of total area, each of the apartments has a fully fitted kitchen or kitchenette, living room, bedroom(s), bathroom(s) and terraces, some with their own private garden and swimming pool or jacuzzi.
