"My mother was Catholic, my father was Protestant. There was always a debate going on at home – I think in those days we called them arguments – about who was right and who was wrong."

Words from the late David Bowie that capture the City, and indeed the UK's, atmosphere perfectly right now. Just replace Catholic with Conservative and Protestant with Labour, and Bob's your daily news.

Debate, conversation and the opportunity to disagree and agree with friends and colleagues is integral to everyday life. Especially at work. Whether it's an important meeting or a political debate over lunch, you should always feel able to speak your mind and know that people around you have the right to come back at you with their own opinions.

It seems the team behind Ten Trinity Square Private Club have captured this essence of the City perfectly and created an exciting new series. Through partnering with ultra-sporting club, Somerton, the private club will host a series of talks and events, offering members exclusive access to a bank of professional athletes and coaches.

With sports fans’ minds already turning to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, the talks have been based around some of Team GBs finest events such as the triathlon, shooting, rowing and cycling.

Members can train like a true Olympian and be mentored by some of the country's best and most awarded athletes and coaches

To kick things off, double Olympic Gold triathlete Alistair Brownlee MBA hosted a talk on his sporting career and introduced the first challenge to Ten Trinity Square members. Brownlee provided valuable insight and tips for members interested in the triathlon and asked them to consider taking part in upcoming local events such as the Blenheim Palace Triathlon in May 2020.

As part of the partnership, Ten Trinity Square members will have the opportunity to work with Somerton on tailored training programmes designed by their exclusive book of Elite Coaches who will guide and support the participants throughout their training.

Club members have full access to the spa and fitness facilities at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, one of the best hotel gym and spa facilities in London, where they can complete their training.

Martin Armstrong, founder of Somerton, commented: “Somerton is extremely excited to partner with Ten Trinity Square to bring their members a series of sporting challenges designed to test mind and body.

"We are looking forward to giving members the chance to experience how to train like a true Olympian and be mentored by some of the best and most awarded athletes and coaches in the country.”
