For the best part of the past decade, if you wanted to a live soundtrack to your party, Alex Le Roux has been the man to call.

Whether you want a swing band, a jazz quartet, a live DJ set or something completely different, Le Roux and ALR Music will find you the perfect act – so now you need only worry about the catering, the guestlist, the venue, and identifying the person most likely to abuse the free bar (there's a free bar, right?).

With more than 500 exclusive events organised around the world every year, it's fair to say the team at ALR has its hands full, yet Le Roux still found the time to give us a quick tour of his life and his London.

(Bonus tip from us: go to The Art Club, where Le Roux's director of music, to see why he's in such high demand.)

What upcoming project(s) are you most excited about?

Having our bands perform in new territories such as Bali, Costa Rica and St Kitts are all confirmed this year so far.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment?

Being asked to organise the music at The Arts Club and continuing to do this for the past eight years.

If you could change one thing about your career, what would it be?

I wish I had started earlier….

What do you hope to achieve that you haven’t yet?

Expansion with offices opening in America first and then in the middle east, hopefully in the next few years.

Outside of your family, who is / was your biggest inspiration?

My biggest inspiration is my wife, she owns and run a modelling agency based in Shoreditch called Linden Staub which it’s all about female empowerment and looking after the talent first.

Tell us something nobody knows about you…
