A storm's a comin'

In the wake of Ferrari’s 458 Italia and McLaren's MP4-12C, Lamborghini’s Gallardo was panting to keep up.

Enter the Huracán – Spanish for ‘hurricane’. This new 602bhp V10 baby Lambo will hit 62mph in 3.2 secs and can top 202mph. Surely it's no coincidence that the Fezza’s top speed is exactly 202mph?

The Gallardo was Lamborghini’s most successful model ever, so the Huracán has pretty large boots to fill – but an aluminium spaceframe chassis and a handful of carbon fibre means the new model is 90kg trimmer than its predecessor. Add in enhancements to both the engine and the gearbox, and it should ensure the Gallardo’s legacy is in good hands.
