Nicholas Mee & Company, the world-renowned Aston Martin specialist, based in Hertfordshire UK, is offering a unique opportunity to purchase the Aston Martin DBZ Centenary Collection; the pairing of a classic DB4 GT Zagato Continuation model with a contemporary DBS GT Zagato.
Launched in October 2019, carrying a price tag of some £6.1m plus local taxes, with production restricted to just 19 pairs, the DBZ Centenary Collection was produced at Aston Martin’s Newport Pagnell manufacturing facilities.
The pair are now being brought to market for the first time, and offered at a considerable saving over the manufacturer’s launch price.
Based in the USA, they are available immediately for purchase and delivery wherever required, with the assistance of Nicholas Mee & Co’s shipping partners.
The pair, configured in left-hand drive, both finished in Caribbean Pearl over Dark Blue interiors, have covered nominal miles from new and been professionally stored since being manufactured and handed over to their first owner.
DB4GT Zagato Continuation
Regarded by classic car collectors and automotive aficionados as one of the most beautiful Aston Martins ever created, just 19 examples of the DB4 GT Zagato were built in the early 1960s. The model offered the ultimate performance available at the time and were campaigned in international sportscar racing, including at the Le Mans 24-hour races.
Original examples have, in recent years, acquired an ‘unobtainable’ status in collector circles, with the majority of the 19 manufactured, now securely stored in investor vaults. Values in excess of £10m have become established numbers in the global collector market, dependent on individual car and competition history.
Hand built, to the highest possible quality, 60 years later in 2019, by Aston Martin’s UK based Heritage centre in Newport Pagnell, the magnificent DB4 GT Zagato Continuation’s were built to the 1960’s original configuration, utilising the traditional engineering and hand building skill, combined with modern engineering advancements and performance enhancements. Completed with all new components, production was restricted to 19 cars only in a symbolic cap doff to the original production run.
