Since 1995, the Caterham Academy has taken more than 1,400 rookie drivers and turned them into racers. It’s a disciplined and affordable route into motorsport, beginning with your ARDS-accredited licence and leading straight to the grid at iconic circuits like Brands Hatch, Donington Park and Silverstone.
All competitors are true rookies: no previous race licence holders are allowed. It’s a fixed formula where car control, driver skill and determination win, and where additional budget makes little difference. There really isn’t a more even playing field in motorsport.
Every Academy driver competes in identical, race-prepared Caterham Seven Academy cars: road-legal, configured for competition and powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged engine, developed with Horse Technologies, on Academy-spec tyres. No technical advantage. No shortcuts.
