At first glance, the Mercedes E63 AMG is a very grown-up car – but one blip of the throttle and its mischievous nature is revealed. The capacity of the new power plant has actually been reduced to a meagre (ahem) 5.5 litres, but guess what? There are now two turbo chargers strapped on for good measure. The result is a potent combination of 557bhp and enough torque to take on a tractor. The steering has been tinkered with, too, and there’s also a Sport Plus mode, where you’ll rattle through the gears like they weren't even there. This Merc is like one of those kids at school who aces all the tests but gets caught feeling up the teaching assistant behind the outdoor games locker. It’s a miscreant dressed up in prefects’ clothing. It’s just like you.
