Put a lid on it

Jaguar Land Rover's record breaking world sales last year were in no small part thanks to the launch of the F-Type.

And the best looking car of 2013 just got better – with this, the Coupé version. It's stiffer, sharper and, thanks to a much larger boot, arguably more sensible. At least, that's what we'll be telling the other half when we put down the deposit.

If you're after specifics, the Coupé's torsional rigidity is 80% stiffer than the convertible’s – the result is a car that should genuinely be able to take on the 911 brigade. The steering is more precise and reassuring – plus the addition of new torque vectoring by braking (TVB) tech means understeer is a thing of the past.

All this, and it's cheaper – up to £7,000 – than the convertible. So that's more for less. No wonder Jag's sales are doing so well.
