Twisted metal

Maxwell Hazan is an American artist – and his latest medium is motorcycles.

His one-off creations are a combination of bespoke engineering and steel sculpture. This Harley Davidson Ironhead took almost eight months to complete. Hazan has become renowned for using everyday objects in his creations – including adapting an ice-cream scoop as a tail light.

Hazan's latest model has several elements that make it unique, including its innovative front suspension with horizontal shocks. His motorbikes are all about pushing the boundaries – so it's fitting that his first ever customer was Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner.
