Star Wars
£950
Star Wars has a universal appeal across all age groups. Disney's acquisition of the franchise will ensure that the fan base will increase with more film sequels. The original release posters for the first Star Wars movie will continue to appreciate as the already low supply is diminishing. antikbar.co.uk

London
£2,500
One of our favourite posters promoting London, this design by Aaron Fine is fun, stylish and iconic. His posters are hard to find and have a dedicated collector base. antikbar.co.uk

Buy British
£3,500
With the recent Brexit news, the message “Britain First Always” still rings true today. These posters were part of a series issued by the Empire Marketing Board to promote British products. This great Art Deco design depicts speed records on land, water, rail and air. antikbar.co.uk

Breakfast at Tiffany's
£1,250
The timeless appeal of Audrey Hepburn in this stylish classic film contributes to enduring popularity of both the film and the movie poster. This poster is for the re-release of the film in 1965 and sells for a fraction of the price of the original 1961 release. As time passes, both versions will appreciate in value. antikbar.co.uk

WWI
£1,750
This is one of the most iconic posters from the Great War. As time passes, these original World War One posters increase in their scarcity and become more collectable. This poster features artwork by Savile Lumley (1876-1960). Due to its use of emotional blackmail (from an initial idea of the printer Arthur Gunn who reportedly imagined himself as the father depicted, although he joined the Westminster Volunteers after Lumley's sketch of the scene in 1915), this poster has become one of the most well known recruitment posters of the period. antikbar.co.uk

WWII
£950
War memorabilia is highly collectable and becoming increasingly scarce. This poster was designed by the British painter and illustrator Clive Upton (1911-2006), depicting a dramatic image of one of the most decisive moments of the war - British troops at the Normandy landings (codenamed Operation Neptune) on 6 June 1944, “D-Day” of the Allied invasion of Normandy, part of Operation Overlord during World War Two. antikbar.co.uk

Cornwall
£1,950
Cornwall is one of the most popular summer holiday destinations in the UK. Original vintage posters make a perfect decoration for a holiday home or a reminder back home of the good times spent there. British surfing posters are few in numbers, which makes this poster very special. antikbar.co.uk

Get Carter
£750
Another cult classic movie starring Michael Caine. High praise from directors such as Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie established the film as one of the best British movies of all time. This Spanish poster has a different, more dramatic design compared to the US versions. antikbar.co.uk

Hong Kong
£650
A major financial centre, Hong Kong is also a popular tourist destination. This striking design will resonate well with both interior decorators and collectors. Featuring a stunning combination of a gold dragon on a red background (the gold being desirable worldwide; the dragon symbolising power and strength; and red being a lucky colour for the Chinese) ensures this poster will stand out in any interior. antikbar.co.uk

James Bond
£650
James Bond posters are ideal for decorating a home cinema. Posters from the early Bond films tend to sell for thousands, which make more recent ones a good investment opportunity. Due to the enduring popularity of James Bond movies, the film posters are bound to appreciate over time. antikbar.co.uk

Cassandre
£2,500
Cassandre (Adolphe Mouron Cassandre; 1901-1968) is considered to be one of the best poster artists of the 1920-30s and his designs are very sought after by both collectors and interior designers. His skill is apparent in this poster: everything great about Italy - lakes, mountains, beaches, tennis, golf, skiing - is squeezed into one image with ease and the composition is elegant, stylish and inviting. antikbar.co.uk

London Underground
£2,500
London Underground posters are popular with collectors in the UK and worldwide. London and its famous Zoo hold a timeless appeal for those who live (and lived) in London as well as for visitors. Imperial Airways
£3,750
Imperial Airways published these cut-out poster designs of their planes for display in their offices. The idea was to promote the luxury and comfort offered by air travel. The Ensign plane depicted in this poster could carry 27 passengers during the day; at night, the seats would be converted into beds and the plane could only carry 20 people on board. The travel time from London to India would be 7 days, which was an unheard of speed at that time. The print editions of these original posters were very low and they are exceedingly rare and collectable. antikbar.co.uk

Le Mans, Steve McQueen
£950
One of the most iconic movie stars - Steve McQueen - directed and starred in this car racing drama and the poster features a great design by the notable poster artist Tom Jung. The film nearly ruined Steve McQueen as, in attempt to be as realistic as possible, two drivers were badly injured, the cost was high and the film was not a commercial success. Now, though, it has a cult following for its filming of real blood, sweat and burning rubber of the car races before the use and advances in CGI effects. antikbar.co.uk

Los Angeles
£2,500
The glamour and glitz of Los Angeles are captured with style in this stunning poster designed by the notable artist David Klein (1918-2005). This rare piece would hold its value well, given the strong buyer base in California and worldwide. antikbar.co.uk

This fantastic Art Deco image advertising the new Melbourne Zoo cleverly uses flamingos in the font creating a sense of colour and fun while oozing luxurious style. The Kodak ad is an extra bonus for photography buffs. antikbar.co.uk

Mercedes S190
£3,250
A classic Mercedes design of the 1950s, the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is a two-door super luxury roadster that was produced by Mercedes-Benz between May 1955 and February 1963. The 190 SL shares the styling, engineering and mechanics with the gull-wing Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. This rare poster was printed by Mercedes for dealers’ display and it would be a great feature in any collector’s classic car garage. antikbar.co.uk
