Current British No. 1 in women's singles, Katie Boulter has seen her career go from strength to strength in recent years.
She's currently playing both singles and doubles at the inaugural HSBC Championships at the Queen's Club, the first female edition of the tournament for more than 50 years.
Away from the court, the Lexus ambassador loves reading, cooking and fashion, harbouring dreams to start her own clothing brand one day. "I’ve always wanted to create something that makes women feel great in what they wear — confident, comfortable, and unapologetically themselves."
As one of the tour's most stylish players, we could very much see this happening in the future. For now, however, there are tennis tournaments to win.
Enjoy the life and style of a true British inspiration.
Life
What upcoming project(s) are you most excited about?
I’m incredibly proud to have recently become an ambassador for Leicester’s HOPE cancer charity. It’s an honour to support such a meaningful cause, and I’m really looking forward to working more closely with the team — raising awareness, connecting with the community, and hopefully making a real difference in people’s lives.
What is your proudest professional accomplishment?
Honestly, it’s not one specific win — it’s the journey. The proudest moments are the ones where I’ve overcome self-doubt or come back after setbacks. Staying in the fight, believing in myself when things weren’t going smoothly — those moments shape you more than any trophy.
But if I were to choose a specific title, it would be my very first Nottingham title. You never forget your first — that win gave me real belief and showed me what I was capable of.
If you could change one thing about your career, what would it be?
Maybe learning to trust myself earlier. Early on, I was too focused on trying to fit into what I thought I should be, instead of leaning into who I actually am. Once I let go of that, everything started to click — on and off the court.

What do you hope to achieve that you haven’t yet?
There’s loads I still want to achieve, but most importantly, just growing as a person and having no regrets is really important to me. Of course, I’d love to win a Slam — that’s a dream I’m always working toward — but it’s just as much about the journey and the person I become along the way.
Outside of your family, who is / was your biggest inspiration?
My biggest influence is my fiancé, Alex de Minaur. He inspires me every single day — not just with how hard he works and how professional he is on court, but with how kind, grounded, and supportive he is off it.
Having someone in your life who truly understands the highs and lows of the sport, and who’s always in your corner no matter what, has made such a difference in my journey. He pushes me to be better while always reminding me to stay true to who I am.
Tell us something nobody knows about you…
I’m a bit of a night owl, and I really enjoy reading and cooking — anything that helps slow life down a bit. With how fast-paced everything can be, especially during the season, I love having those quiet moments to unwind and just be present.

Style
What’s your favourite item of clothing – and what does it mean to you?
My favourite item of clothing is probably a big oversized blazer. I love how versatile blazers are — you can dress them up or down, and they always make you feel put together. I’d wear a white one on court at Wimbledon if I could! It’s that mix of smart and effortless that I really love.
Favourite accessory – watch / jewellery / etc – and why is it special to you?
My favourite accessory is probably the ring my fiancé proposed to me with. It’s not just a piece of jewellery — it marks the most special moment of my life. The fact that he chose it with my mum makes it even more personal and emotional. Every time I look at it, I’m reminded of how loved and supported I am. It means everything to me.
What’s your biggest style disaster?
Biggest style disaster? For sure, jean shorts that were way too short. I don’t know what I was thinking — they barely qualified as shorts! Safe to say those won’t be making a comeback any time soon. 😂

Is there an item you threw away – or lost – that you really miss?
No, I don’t. I’m not massively sentimental when it comes to material things — unless they’ve been given to me. And the few that really mean something are safely with me… for the moment. 😂
What’s next on your shopping list?
A suitcase — not the most glamorous answer, but a very necessary one! I travel so much for tournaments that I’ve completely worn through my current ones. I need something sturdy and stylish that can survive baggage claim and still look good rolling into a hotel lobby.
What would you buy if money was no object?
I’d start my own clothing brand so I could properly get into fashion. I’ve always loved expressing myself through style, and I’ve always wanted to create something that makes women feel great in what they wear — confident, comfortable, and unapologetically themselves. Fashion has so much power, and I’d love to be part of that in a meaningful way.
