Referred to as Formula 1 on water, the America’s Cup is the oldest trophy in sport, dating back 170 years.

Although the first race took place around the Isle of Wight, it has never been won by a British challenger. The INEOS Britannia team, captained by legendary sailor Sir Ben Ainslie, are hoping to change that, and make history by winning the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona this summer.

Working in collaboration with the team, Belstaff has designed its second on-shore collection for INEOS Britannia. It’s the latest chapter in the British heritage brand’s long history of producing lasting outdoor apparel. Designed to withstand the elements, the capsule combines modern design with iconic Belstaff silhouettes.

The hero piece of the collection, the Challenger jacket in Sail White, is a refined and luxe take on a classic Belstaff jacket. It’s crafted from a premium technical fabric with an inner breathable membrane to ensure the wearer stays cool and dry.

Super soft with a water repellent finish and concealed zip pockets, a shell polyester reversible gilet can be zipped inside the jacket or worn as a standalone piece.

A contemporary overshirt with an almost suede-like finish is crafted from a technical cotton-polyester blend. Clean and minimal design details such as covered zips and inlaid pockets give a modern take on this classic piece of versatile menswear.

Sharply cut trousers and shorts are crafted from the same fabric, while you’ll also find knits, polo shirts and T-shirts alongside accessories such as a belt and cap. The capsule has a focused colour palette built around Sail White, Harbour Grey and Anchor Grey, with Flare Orange highlights.

It’s a winning combination for what we hope will be a winning team.
