Still not even 30, Kevin Woo has enjoyed quite the career.
He spent a decade as a member of K-Pop idol group U-KISS – the acronym stands for Ubiquitous Korean International Idol Super Star.
After leaving the band in 2017, Woo has found solo success – including playing Madison Square Garden at KCON – and toured the globe. (Not at the moment, obviously. Pandemic, etc.)
He's also the first artist to be signed to LIPHOP, the digital media platform under e-commerce.
All in all, quite the BNOC – and will likely only get bigger.
What upcoming project(s) are you most excited about?
I’m currently working with LIPHOP which is Asia’s hottest high fashion brand. I’ve been rebranding myself as not only a singer, but also as a fashion icon.
I’m excited to showcase my style through LIPHOP on digital platforms as well as magazines, TV, etc.
I’m also planning to release a new EP single. I’ve been in the studio a lot writing new music and I can’t wait to share that with the world.
What is your proudest professional accomplishment?
I’m proud to have been in the K-pop boyband U-KISS for a decade, that led successful world tours and topped international charts.
I also starred in many musicals, hosted TV shows, and performed at the iconic Madison Square Garden as a solo artist.
If you could change one thing using your platform as a celebrity, what would it be?
If I could change one thing, I’d like to get rid of cyber bullying and media trying to drag celebrities down.
There are too many fake rumours and news regarding their personal life that shouldn’t affect their career. I’ve seen many fellow talents that were heavily affected by this issue and it needs to change.
What do you hope to achieve that you haven’t yet?
I would love to perform at Coachella in the future.
I also hope to collaborate with my favourite artists such as Khalid and The Weeknd.
