Schott NYC has quite the pedigree. Founded in 1913, Schott used to design bomber jackets for the U.S Air Force and pea coats for the Navy. As well as attiring half the US military, Schott became the first brand to produce biker jackets in 1928. Marlon Brando in The Wild One? He’s wearing a Schott.

For AW16 Schott are releasing a ‘Limited Edition’ collection, luxury updates on their classic jackets. Air carrier parkas, bomber jackets, duffle coats have all been given an expensive revamp. Note the bright colours on the back, a security feature for troopers and hunters to be seen from far away.

Colourful yet masculine, stylish yet durable, it isn't hard to see how Schott has endured for over a century. If you want to wear a piece of New York history – and pretend you're a fighter pilot on temporary leave – then this is the brand for you.
