Wool. It looks great until it doesn’t. A sudden London downpour, a crumpled commute, or an eight-hour stint in an office chair is often all it takes to leave a fine suit looking like it spent the night on a pub floor.

Richmond-based menswear outfitter Spoke has been refining the male wardrobe since 2013. Now, the brand has turned its attention to solving wool's fragility problem with their latest drop: the Forza collection.

Built around a single, clever hybrid fabric – ‘Combat Wool’ – the eight-piece range of outerwear and tailoring utilises fine Italian wool shot through with tough Cordura fibre. The result is a material that retains the rich, understated drape of traditional tailoring while behaving like technical gear.

Rather than sticking strictly to conventional suits, Spoke has worked across a full spectrum of modern menswear. On the relaxed end of the scale sits the Stormbreaker, a sharp funnel-collar windbreaker featuring double-ended zips and subtle stretch-ribbing, along with a water-resistant Mac lined in durable ripstop.

For transitional layering, there is a streamlined gilet designed to slide under a winter coat without adding bulk, and a chore-style overshirt with functional chest pockets that seamlessly bridges the gap between casual and formal.

The tailoring relies on Spoke’s signature modular approach. The Jack unstructured blazer offers minimal padding, patch pockets, and visible pick stitching for a relaxed, Italian-leaning silhouette. Pair it with one of three distinct trouser cuts: the hyper-tailored smarts with side adjusters, the traditional high-rise pleats, or the Fridays, a clever drawstring chino that hides its elastication at the hips to avoid looking like sweatpants.

As with everything Spoke produces, the real draw lies in the fit. Instead of forcing you into standard, off-the-rack sizing, every piece is sold independently using the signature custom-fit system. Waist sizes, chest measurements, leg lengths, and cuts are selected as separate variables, allowing you to build a jacket and trouser combination that matches your proportions.

Here is a collection designed for men who want the elevated feel of Italian wool without having to treat their clothes like museum artefacts.
