In 1977, Nivada Grenchen unveiled the original F77, a stainless steel sports watch with an integrated bracelet and a textured basket-weave dial that stood apart from the crowd.
It was a design that captured the mood of the late 1970s, combining sharp geometry with a distinctly modern elegance
More than four decades later, the F77 has returned, reimagined for today’s watch enthusiasts while preserving the spirit that made the original so compelling.
The rebirth of the F77 began in 2023, when Nivada Grenchen, under the leadership of CEO Guillaume Laidet, introduced the model once again to the market. Collectors responded instantly.
With its accessible price point, vintage inspiration, and timeless proportions, the F77 quickly became the brand’s best-seller and one of the most talked-about integrated-bracelet watches of the year.
For Laidet, however, the project was never just about nostalgia. Wearing the watch daily, he imagined a lighter and more futuristic interpretation, and that vision led to the next chapter: the F77 in titanium.

Crafted from grade 5 titanium, the new F77 weighs just 86 grams compared to 126 grams for the stainless steel version, dramatically enhancing comfort without compromising durability.
The shift to titanium also opened the door to new creativity with the dial designs. The updated series now features four distinctive variations. The anthracite basket-weave revisits the iconic pattern of 1977 with a contemporary edge.
Aventurine, with its shimmering green depth, offers a touch of natural wonder. Lapis lazuli, an intense ultramarine stone treasured for centuries, brings bold color and timeless beauty. And finally, the meteorite dial, available only during the pre-order phase, transforms each piece into a one-of-a-kind object, cut from fragments of genuine space rock with naturally occurring patterns that ensure no two are ever the same.
Beyond materials, the design remains true to its roots. The case measures 37mm across with a thickness of 12.6mm, maintaining a versatile and elegant profile.
Alternating brushed and polished finishes emphasise the sharp lines of the titanium case and integrated bracelet, while baton-shaped hands and faceted indices reinforce the watch’s geometric precision.

Inside, the Swiss Soprod P024 automatic movement powers the F77 with a 38-hour reserve. With its sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, and water resistance up to 100 meters, this is a watch designed to perform as well as it looks.
Since its founding in 1926, Nivada Grenchen has been celebrated for creating watches that blend toughness with style, from the Antarctic tested in the harshest conditions to the Chronomaster favoured by adventurers and divers.
The new F77 carries this legacy forward. By honouring the past while embracing innovation, Nivada Grenchen proves once again that true design icons are timeless, and always ready for the future.
