How did you each get into music?
My Dad worked in the industry so our house is filled the the brim with records – this and my brother's music taste got me into playing guitar and DJing when I was about 14, I then started producing soon after that.
How did you guys meet?
We had the same DJ agent when were doing our solo projects and met in a club in Swansea – Monkey Bar. Great little venue ;)
How would you describe your sound?
House music with big bass and big vocals!
What’s been the most surreal moment of your journey so far?
DJing on a plane flying over the Atlantic was pretty surreal. Also DJing in an igloo at Snowbombing was pretty mad too.
Creating something out of nothing feels like magic sometimes
Why the name Gorgon City?
We liked the way it sounds different and has links to greek mythology, and also Reggae and bashment music.
What’s your favourite part of the creative process?
Working with amazing singers and songwriters is a lot of fun. Creating something out of nothing feels like magic sometimes in the studio.
Who would you like to collaborate with?
Do you ever disagree when it comes to music?
Not really, we both are into similar sounds so its all good!
What can we expect from Kingdom?
The album is not actually called Kingdom – it's got another name. Kingdom is now just a radio show and our club nights. Keep your eyes peeled for the new album coming this summer.
Do you have a piece of gear that you couldn’t live without?
Versus are a great new duo. Also Disciples are killing it right now
When it comes to style, what are your favourite label and designers and why do you like them?
We love all types of stuff - high end bits like Kenzo and Sandro are great, but also Levis and All Saints are cool too.
Which of you is the more stylish?
Lol that's for you to judge!
Which emerging artists should we be looking out for?
Versus are a great new duo. Also Disciples are killing it right now.
