Ever heard of ishicascadiggaphobia? Of course you have, everyone knows ishicascadiggaphobia.

It means a phobia of elbows. As you already knew.

Tom Grennan – who's just released his second album Evering Road – apparently has ishicascadiggaphobia. Be sure to wear a jumper if you ever meet him. Or elbow pads, but those may just draw attention to them.

At least Grennan if safe from genuphobia (fear of knees), chirophobia (fear of hands) and geniophobia (fear of chins). Nor does he have ablutophobia (fear of washing).

We hope.

Life

What upcoming project(s) are you most excited about?

Evering Road to be honest. I can’t wait for it to be out and actually live in people’s lives.

I’ve been sat on this record for a year and a bit now, and now it’s going to get its own wings and I hope it gets passed on to other people, like friends just pass it on to people.

I’m ready for the weight of it to be off my shoulders.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment?

To have number 1 and 2 in the Big Top 40.

I’ve been working so hard for five years and to have 1 and 2 is a pretty big achievement and something I’ll always be proud of.

If you could change one thing about your career, what would it be?

I don’t think anything. I’ve been on like a steady rollercoaster and I’ve had time to improve.

In a way, I’m lucky that I’ve had that time to improve because some people, they put out an album, it blows and they don’t know what to do after that.

So I’ve had time to improve, I’ve had time to work on my craft and I wouldn’t change anything about it.

What do you hope to achieve that you haven’t yet?

A number 1 album.

Outside of your family, who is / was your biggest inspiration?

Amy Winehouse has always been an inspiration to me. She’s always been someone I’ve listened to.

Tell us something nobody knows about you...

That I have a phobia of elbows.

Style

What’s your favourite item of clothing – and what does it mean to you?

My favourite item of clothing at the moment is probably my Pangaia tracksuit.

It means I’m comfortable and it kind of just reminds me of this time that we’ve had. I haven’t really changed out of it.

Favourite accessory – watch / jewellery / etc – and why is it special to you?

Probably my Claddagh ring. It’s an Irish ring.

It just reminds me of being from Ireland and having that Irish heart, and it reminds me of my Dad’s family.

What items do you take on holiday and why?

A ball and paddle racket. I love it!

Is there an item you threw away – or lost – that you really miss?

I don’t really tend to throw things away because I’m quite a hoarder, but I did lose a pair of sunglasses that really upset me.

They were expensive as well.

What’s next on your shopping list?

Probably a pair of shoes.

I don’t know what shoes though, I just love shoes and trainers...

What would you buy if money was no object?

A yacht.
