Pearl Lowe is one of the coolest women on the planet.

A vocalist and musician, a designer of fashion and interiors, an accomplished writer, lover to rock stars, mother to a supermodel – Lowe has one hell of a CV, and it's far from finished yet.

Next on the to-do list? Her ambition to own a shop.

There are two fairly safe bets here...

One: Lowe's ambition will be realised.

Two: it will be a damn stylish shop.

Life

What upcoming project(s) are you most excited about?

My new autumn/winter collection of dresses and coats is looking really lovely. I’m really excited about that.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment?

My four wonderful quirky children. They bring me so much joy.

If you could change one thing about your career, what would it be?

I miss singing a lot. I do wish I could have carried on with that.

What do you hope to achieve that you haven’t yet?

I really want to own a shop. I had a pop-up shop locally which was so much fun.

It’s definitely something I would like to achieve in the future.

Outside of your family, who is / was your biggest inspiration?

Rachel Ashwell, the founder of Shabby Chic, has been such an inspiration to me.

She has taught me so much about interior design and business and she has also art directed my book Faded Glamour.

Tell us something nobody knows about you…

I am petrified of heights.

Lockdown

How are you finding lockdown?

I am actually having a lovely time with my family.

Best thing about lockdown?

Doing all the jobs I have been putting off for months, like setting up a vintage store on Instagram and sorting through all my vintage and antiques to sell on it.

Painting all the things that need painting in the house.

Worst thing about lockdown?

I miss my friends too much.

Top tip for surviving lockdown?

I find having a week day routine where I work, exercise and do pretty much the same as I did before lockdown really helps.

Then weekends are for baking, walking the dogs and watching films.

If you could be locked down with one person, alive or dead, who would it be?

My husband Danny, as he makes me laugh so much.

What are you most looking forward to doing once lockdown is over?

Seeing friends, going to restaurants, travelling. Literally cannot wait until I can do all these things.
